    Queen Street Mall
The Queen St mall is the busiest shopping center in Brisbane. This outdoor, pedestrian only plaza is not only the fashion center of the city, and the business district, it is a cultural hub where the people of Brisbane have met for parades and celebrations since the 1800s. In the late 1880s, the strip was divided between retail and commercial business, but it remains a popular weekend spot for its social atmosphere, shopping and great café dining.

The American forces occupied the home during WWII, after which it was opened to the public as a museum. The Australian–American War Memorial can be found on its grounds.
